Antique European Loom Woven Organic Nubby Texture Linen Hemp Towel

A superb organic antique loom woven linen hemp, circa 1920's. European woven. Intended for toweling originally and woven in bales as household staples or dowry pieces.I cannot tell you how amazing the texture is on this. One side s very nubby and textural, the other side is almost a honeycomb texture. You can see flecks of the natural hemp/flax in the weave. It's dense and somewhat stiffer but washing does soften these.Marvelous textile!Makes outstanding organic towels or equally lovely in runner pieces, bags, mats, unique smaller upholstery etc.. Any rustic organic  country, farmhouse & primitive setting and projects
***In very nice condition for it's age but in need of a soak ~ has some random patina & storage patina at the center fold which my camera couldn't capture. Very easy to launder (hand or machine). I generally add a bit of baking soda after the initial soak/wash which does wonders on these organic fiber textiles to lift patina. Otherwise, unused & very well maintained yardage.
***Measures~ 16" wide (loom width) by 1 yard long~I can keep your length selected uncut.
