Lovely Antique French Hemp Linen Kitchen Bath Towel

From the south of France.
Fabulous large hemp & linen French kitchen towel.
Wonderful soft  floppy hand, beautiful thick heavy nubby weave,  weighs  13 oz!
Original selvage edges on two side meticulously hand stitched hem on top and bottom.
Warm creamy color  faded red stripes are now pink.
Wonderful textiles to use in kitchen, I use them as bath mats,  would be lovely fabric for upholstery, pillow or many other sewing or craft projects.

Condition: Excellent. One tiny spot that I think is actually a brown thread.  Washed and ready to use!
Can be tumbled dry and will continue soften with washing and use.
Wonderful to us as is in the kitchen or appropriate for re-purposing for your many creative projects! I do my best to accurately describe condition and point out major flaws, but c ondition is seldom perfect as one would expect from a 100 year old textile. Small marks and flaws should be expected. The timeworn look and signs of their unique history is part of what makes them so charming and special!
