Estate sale from California brings this SET of 4 GENUINE VINTAGE Cotton/Linen Fingertip Towels. This SET was purchased by my mother in Fresno between 1955 and 1965. Two of the towels were never used, and two of the towels were hung for display. The two unused towels are White Butterfly and Dark Blue Butterfly, and they are both in Mint or Near-Mint Condition. The other two towels are Yellow Butterfly and Light Pink Butterfly, and they are both in Good or Fair Condition (no rips, no holes, no repairs, no odors, but the colors have either faded or discolored). There are no tags, so we can't see where they were manufactured. The material is pure cotton or linen blend. The pattern is SOLID with a solitary butterfly (Papillon) on each towel. The edges are scalloped on top and bottom, and it gives them a mid-century modern design from the mid-fifties and early sixties. Questions are welcome and promptly answered. Photos form part of the description regarding age and condition. Shipping cost is for all 48 states in the lower USA. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is added cost based upon postal code. There is NO RESERVE PRICE, so the price you bid, is the price you pay. Please see our GREAT EBAY Feedback! The butterfly (or papillon) symbolizes life, hope, endurance, change and resurrection for Christians. Across many cultures the butterfly symbolizes renewal, courage, and personal transformation especially during difficult times. In Chinese culture, butterflies are often associated with immortality and the afterlife. They are believed to be the embodiment of departed souls. In Japanese culture, butterflies are regarded as agents of metamorphosis, and they mirror the the cycle of life.
