This listing is for a stamped linen tea towel, made to be embroidered. This type of stamped piece was really common in the 1940's and 1950's; it was a great way to create a hand made gift or piece to display. It features a little octopus, "I've Got to Hand It To You!" It would be so easy and fun to embroider! This type of piece was sold in dry goods stores, and later in dime stores, as a crafty way to make a hand made gift or item to display. There are lots of vintage iron on designs, but the ones with the designs already applied are scarce, and hard to find. It is a cute piece that is unused, with just a bit of soil from handling. The hem is a tiny cut work hem.
